Who are we?

The Climate Change Fund is a philanthropic giving circle that pools member funds and donates them to non-profits tackling climate change.  Our marquee event is an annual Dragon’s Den, where non-profits are invited to make pitches on how they would use the money, and members vote on which ones to support.

Join a network of professionals, entrepreneurs and journalists who are passionate about doing their part to solve climate change.  Our members benefit from a speaker series throughout the year, where experts are invited to speak about climate change science, policy, and business implications.

How to apply for our prizes

Any Canadian registered non-profit, or any international non-profit with a Canadian flow-through partner, can apply to participate in our pitch competition.

Please email trevor@climatechangefund.ca with a brief description of your mission, your geographic focus, and the size of your organization in terms of full-time employees. We will get back to you shortly on whether we believe your organization could be a good fit for our pitch competition.

What is expected of you?

As we aspire to provide the highest Return on Investment (ROI) on your time possible, the competition itself requires little preparation. You will have a 5-10 minute window to make your pitch to our members over a video call and may leverage any combination of media you wish (e.g., slide deck, video). Afterwards, you are welcome to stay and watch the pitches of the other contestants, but this is not a requirement.
